Earth Systems!
The Atmosphere
This system contains all of the air we breathe-78% nitrogen and 21% oxygen- and the weather that occurs. There are 4 layers to the atmosphere system:
The troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and the outer layer, the thermosphere. The atmosphere reaches 350+ miles up from the Earth's surface.

The Biosphere
The biosphere is the layer that contains living and non living things. This system contains the food chain, in which energy (food) are conveyed from one living organism to another.
The Hydrosphere
The Hydrosphere includes all of the water this planet holds. The water on the surface is located in oceans, lakes, rivers, and creeks, while all of the ground water is inside of the soil. Only 3% of our water is fresh. 70% of the water that is safe to drink is frozen, in the form of glaciers.
The Geosphere
This is the solidified portion of the earth. From deep within the inner core to the crust of our Earth. Rocks, volcanoes, minerals and coal.
Natural Disasters
An example or a natural disaster that could possibly impact ALL of the earth systems is a volcano.
When a volcano erupts, the ash from the eruption is spewed into the air, which interferes with the atmosphere, and falling into our water resources- the hydrosphere. Also conflicting with the living things in the biosphere, the ash in the air could harm human beings and animals in that area, in the biosphere. Then lava oozing onto the surface of earth, effcting the geosphere.
